Professional Biography:
David Hayward joined the city of Henderson as the Municipal Court Administrator in October 2001. He
coordinates the day-to-day operations of the courts including preparation and maintenance of the
court calendars; physical security of facilities, the public and employees; records retention; and
court programs. David is responsible for planning, organizing and directing all Municipal Court
non-judicial functions.
Prior to joining the city of Henderson, Mr. Hayward was the District Court Administrator in the Second Judicial District of Iowa from 1987 until September 2001. He served as a training supervisor and planning supervisor for the Northern Area Producing Department of the Arabian American Oil Company in Saudi Arabia from 1981 to 1987. Prior to 1981, David worked for the Williams Pipeline Company in several Midwest locations.
David earned a master's degree from the University of Oklahoma in Managerial Economics in 1986, after graduating from the University of Alaska in Fairbanks with a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences in 1973.
David is currently a member of the Nevada Association of Court Executives and a member of the National Association of Court Managers. He served on the faculty of the Fifth National Court Technology Conference in Detroit, Michigan in 1997 and also received a Certificate of Appreciation from the National Association of Legal Secretaries (NALS) in October 1998. David served on several Iowa Supreme Court committees between 1987 and 2001 and was recognized with a Certificate of Exemplary Service in September 2001 by Chief Justice Louis A. Lavorato.
