Professional Biography:
Terri Barber joined the city of Henderson in February 2002. As the Intergovernmental Relations
Director, Ms. Barber oversees the division that identifies and assists in the implementation of
beneficial community partnerships, public policies and organizational efforts. She also serves as
the chief lobbyist for the City at the state legislature, and is responsible for the federal, state and
local legislative activities.
Prior to joining the city of Henderson, Terri was the Deputy Director of the Southern Nevada Home Builders Association. Ms. Barber has over twenty years experience in working with entities throughout Southern Nevada.
Terri graduated with distinction from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) in 1990 with a bachelor's degree in Sociology. In 1992 she received a master's degree in Sociology, also from UNLV.
Terri has been awarded the Distinguished Woman in Southern Nevada 1995, 1997, 1999, and 2001. She is a member of Associated General Contractors, Southern Nevada Home Builders Association, Henderson Chamber of Commerce, and serves as the Nevada Youth Legislature chaperone. Terri has been a registered lobbyist in the State of Nevada since 1993.
