Building & Fire Safety
The nationally IAS accredited Building and Fire Safety department issues
permits, performs plans check and inspections for conformity to building codes.
The Building & Fire Safety staff provides assistance regarding fees, processing
requirements, inspection inquiries and general building procedures. The
department maintains address records of all building permits and documents by
address for public record. The Code Enforcement division deals with the
'disturbance of quality of life'. This includes; construction hours, illegal
dumping, unsightly yard, storage of vehicles and sign ordinances.
