The Henderson Alternative Sentencing Division came into existence on November 3, 2009. The Division operates under the City Manager’s
Office and is supervised by Chief Marshal Mark Jacobs. The primary objective of
the Division is to enhance victim / public safety by promoting offender
accountability and providing the opportunity for offender rehabilitation through
accessible, quality, offender–funded programs.
The Division was developed in 2009 through a reorganization effort that included
staff members from the City Attorney’s office and the Municipal Court. The
Division is comprised of four separate units: the Programs Unit, Enforcement
Unit, Assessment Unit and Work Program / Community Service Unit. Each unit has
different responsibilities but work in unison to accomplish the primary
objective above.
