Stepping On: Fall Prevention Falls are the leading cause of fatal and non-fatal injuries in older Americans. One-third of Americans aged 65+ fall each year. Stepping On is an internationally proven falls-prevention program specifically for people who are able to walk safely with or without a cane and who live independently and want to keep it that way. Each class is filled with valuable information including instruction in simple balance and strength exercises that have been proven to reduce the risk of falling. Learn about other health factors SENIOR that can cause falls, how to make your home safer, and which medications might contribute to your fall risk. This program is presented through a joint partnership of Touro University, the Nevada Goes Falls Free Coalition, a federal grant to the Nevada Geriatric Education Center, and the City of Henderson.
