The Las Vegas Urban League Child Care Subsidy program provides subsidies for child care services to low-income families with parents who are working, attending school or training. The program operates in conjunction with the Division of Welfare and Supportive Services to improve the quality of child care and early childhood development in Southern Nevada. We accept cash, checks, money orders, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. Procedures for Use • Since Safekey/Teen Scene is a prepaid program, you must register your child for all scheduled participation in advance. If you unable to do so due to an emergency, you must notify the Youth Enrichment office at 702-267- 4100 prior to your child attending. It is not necessary to call for the morning program since parents are required to escort their children into the program. • It is required that parents register and pay for their child prior to attending. In order for Safekey/Teen Scene to assign adequate staff at each site, registration should be done online or at a recreation center. • If the Convenience Card account is delinquent, parents/ guardians lose the ability to use the card and their account may be sent to collections. Additionally, their child will be unable to attend Safekey/Teen Scene. • Convenience Cards should only be used to pay for unplanned or emergency attendance. • Convenience Cards may be used online as a form of payment. • Convenience Cards are non-refundable or nontransferable. No credits or refunds are issued for days missed. • You may purchase a Convenience Card at any City of Henderson recreation center. It is suggested the card be loaded with a maximum of $40. We recommend keeping card balances as close to actual enrollment as possible to ensure balances are used by the last day of school.
