Henderson Happenings features hundreds of programs and events offered by the City of Henderson for you, your family and your friends to enjoy. For your convenience, there are three easy ways to register for Parks and Recreation programs—online, by mail, and in person at any recreation center. Registration begins at 6:00 a.m. on Aug. 26 and is ongoing until classes fill. We recommend that you register early because some programs fill very quickly, while others may be canceled if minimum enrollment is not met. Tickets for events hosted at the Henderson Pavilion can be purchased at cityofhenderson.com, by phone at 702-267-4TIX (4849) or in person at the Box Office. About the Cover Celebrate the holidays with the city by taking part in one of many festive activities and events. Our recreation centers are hosting an array of Halloween events for little ones, youth and people of all ages. From arts and crafts to archery, get ready for a Henderson Halloween, highlighted by Trunk or Treat, Henderson’s premier safe trick-or-treating event. See page 76 for details. As the cooler weather kicks in, the holidays light up with family-friendly activities for all ages, including our popular Holiday Lights Tour (see page 83) and our annual WinterFest celebration, featuring a treelighting ceremony and a spectacular evening light parade. See page 84 for more information.
