All excursions have two departure/arrival sites: Heritage Park Senior Facility (HPSF), 300 S. Racetrack Rd. and Henderson Multigenerational Center (HMGC), 250 S. Green Valley Pkwy. If you have questions regarding an excursion, call Downtown Senior Center. We are able to offer low prices thanks to the ability to secure group rates. Excursions may be canceled if minimum enrollment is not met by the listed deadlines, so register early. Catalina Island Enjoy an hour-long ferry ride from San Pedro to Catalina Island on the state-of-the-art Catalina Express. On the island you can explore on your own or choose from one of many sightseeing tours and activities available for an additional charge. Options include a 1929 casino tour, daytime glass bottom boat tour, Catalina Zip Line Eco Tour, and a seal rocks cruise. A parent/guardian must accompany children ages 3-13. Teens ages 14 and older may travel unescorted if enrolled by a parent/guardian. Price includes round-trip bus transportation as well as the round-trip ferry ride. Bus departs at 2:30 a.m. from HPSF and 3:00 a.m. from HMGC. Buses return to HMGC at approximately 1:00 a.m. and HPSF by approximately 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 20.
