Pedestrian Dies After Being Struck by Vehicle

Henderson, Nev. – Henderson Police are investigating a fatal accident that occurred late last night after a man was struck and killed while walking across St. Rose Parkway west of Starr Avenue. 

The man walked into a westbound travel lane of St. Rose Parkway when he was struck around 11:25 p.m. by a blue 2009 Toyota Camry. The driver of the vehicle was not injured and remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

The pedestrian was in the roadway outside a marked crosswalk and was pronounced at the scene.

Speed and alcohol are not considered factors in the crash.

The westbound lanes of St. Rose Parkway were closed for about four hours while fatal crash investigators conducted their investigation.

The name of the deceased will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.

The man’s death is the fourth traffic accident related fatality investigated this year.
