Henderson, Nev. – Henderson Police are investigating a fatal accident that occurred last night at the intersection of Paseo Verde Parkway and Carnegie Street.

Preliminary investigation indicates that on July 30, at around 7:10 p.m., the operator of a 2016 Honda Shadow motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Paseo Verde Parkway approaching Carnegie Street in the left lane with a green light.

The driver of a 2011 Nissan Murano was travelling westbound on Paseo Verde approaching Carnegie in the far left turn lane with the intent to travel south on Carnegie Street. Preliminary investigation indicated that the driver of the Nissan, 75-year-old Richard Evans, showed signs of impairment and was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and booked into the Henderson Detention Center.
