Henderson, Nev. – Henderson Police are investigating a traffic collision that occurred last night resulting in the operator of a UTV succumbing to his injuries.

On September 1, at approximately 7:05 p.m., Henderson Police responded to a fatal accident in the 1000 block of American Pacific Drive. The accident occurred on private property behind a commercial center.

Preliminary investigation indicates that the operator of a four seat side-by-side UTV was driving in a reckless manner, lost control and crashed into a parked semi-trailer.

The driver succumbed to his injuries at the scene. One occupant was transported to Sunrise Hospital Trauma Center in Las Vegas in stable condition and two other occupants were treated and released at the scene.

No public roadways were affected by the crash and the commercial center “private” roadway was closed for approximately three and half hours while fatal accident investigators conducted their investigation.

The name of the driver who succumbed to his injuries, as well as the cause and manner of death will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office after next of kin notifications.

The crash is being investigated as the ninth traffic related fatality this year.
