Henderson Police Arrest Two Suspects in String of Salon Burglaries

June 17, 2018

Henderson, Nev. – Henderson Police arrested two suspects in a recent string of salon burglaries in Henderson.

50-year-old, Kenneth McDougall and 25-year-old, Jesenia Guerrero, were arrested last night after several reports of commercial burglaries were called into the Henderson Police Department over several months starting in February 2018. It is believed that the same suspects will be connected to other burglaries in other jurisdictions.

From Feb. 18 through June 11, 2018, approximately eight salons in Henderson had been burglarized and their cases were assigned to Detectives. Through active investigation of reviewing video surveillance, processing of the crimes scenes and follow up, possible suspect descriptions and possible suspect vehicles were obtained. As the investigation progressed, McDougall and Guerrero were identified as suspects in these crimes.

On June 16, 2018 at around 4:00 p.m., Henderson Police responded to the 1200 block of Vaughn Street in Las Vegas to complete further investigation. McDougall was observed leaving the area in a Hyundai Accent. When detectives attempted to stop McDougall, he crashed into two unmarked detective vehicles, two privately owned parked vehicles, and into a residence which resulted in a natural gas leak. There was no pursuit in this apprehension and no officers or citizens were injured. The fire department and utility company responded to render the area safe.

Kenneth McDougall was subsequently arrested on unrelated charges and three felony charges of “Burglary” and three gross misdemeanor charges of “Conspiracy to Commit Burglary”.

Jesenia Guerrero was also contacted and arrested on the 1200 block of Vaughn Street where a search warrant was completed resulting in the recovery of items related to the burglaries under investigation. Guerrero was charged with three felonies of “Burglary” and three gross misdemeanor charges of “Conspiracy to Commit Burglary”.

Both suspects were booked into the Henderson Detention Center and additional charges are forthcoming for each suspect as additional investigation is completed.
