Henderson Invites Volunteers to Participate in Amargosa Trail Maintenance Project

Henderson, Nev. – Volunteers can enjoy the great outdoors by helping City of Henderson staff maintain one of the city’s trails from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1. Hat, water, sunscreen, sturdy shoes, and gloves are recommended. Registration and orientation are from
8:00-8:30 a.m. at Shaded Canyon Trailhead, 180 Shaded Canyon Dr.,
off Horizon Ridge Parkway.

Everyone 5 years and up is welcome. Youth (ages 5-12) must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Teens (ages 13-17) must have a waiver signed by a parent/guardian.

For anyone wanting to promote safety and appropriate trail use, they can join Henderson Trail Watch. In addition to assisting trail users, these volunteers observe and document safety issues requiring attention, serve as a positive presence on Henderson trails and assist the city's Parks and Recreation and Henderson Police departments to keep Henderson trails safe and well maintained.
