July 12, 2018
Henderson, Nev. – A fire originating in the attic space of a Henderson convenience store caused $75,000 in damage this morning.

Henderson Fire Department was dispatched at about 8:40 a.m. to a commercial structure fire at 306 N. Boulder Hwy near Lake Mead Parkway. The first arriving engine company observed smoke and fire on the roof of a Terrible Herbst convenience store.

Henderson Fire Department’s response to the incident included five engines, two trucks, two rescue units and an air resource apparatus. A City of Henderson senior fire investigator, NV Energy and Southwest Gas Corp. responded to help secure the property. Henderson Police Department assisted with traffic control.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation but is not considered suspicious at this time. The total estimated loss is valued at $75,000.
