Two Suspects Arrested in Murder of Veteran

Henderson, Nev. – Henderson Police completed a lengthy investigation that resulted in the arrest of 20-year-old Anthony Andolina and a juvenile for the murder of 71-year-old veteran Robert Gamboa.
On April 2, 2017 at about 9:20 p.m., Henderson Police responded to the 100 block of Water Street in reference to an elderly male who had been the victim of a battery with substantial bodily harm.
Further investigation revealed that the victim, Robert Gamboa had been in a verbal argument with several subjects on the night in question. The argument resulted in Robert Gamboa being struck by Anthony Andolina and a juvenile. Robert Gamboa succumbed to his injuries several months later and the Clark County Coroner’s Office determined that Robert’s death was attributed to the injuries he sustained, ruling his death a homicide.
On Oct. 6, Anthony Andolina was arrested on a felony warrant of Open Murder. On Oct. 7, the juvenile suspect was also arrested on a felony warrant of Open Murder.
This is the sixth homicide in Henderson in 2017.
