– Mayor Debra March is hosting her next monthly “March On” community event at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 10 at Cornerstone Park, 1600 Wigwam Pkwy (near Stephanie). The theme is “March On: A Walk in the Park” and residents are invited to join the Mayor for a stroll, to learn about Cornerstone Park and the recreational opportunities available in Henderson and to enjoy a free continental breakfast. The event will also include a moment of silence and tree planting in memory of the Las Vegas strip tragedy victims.
The Mayor’s monthly “March On” meetings are designed to encourage an open dialogue between neighbors and city leaders regarding issues of importance to those who live in the City of Henderson. Mayor March will be joined at the events by city staff that will be on hand to answer questions and provide information to residents.
November will feature “March On – Unveiling Henderson’s Newest Fire Station.” Residents are invited to join Mayor March, Fire Chief Shawn White and the men and women of the Henderson Fire Department for a community open house to showcase the new Fire Station 91 in Inspirada located at 2901 Democracy Dr. The event takes place on Nov. 13 from 5-6:30 p.m.
